Climate Skeptics Question Al Gore at NY Conference
March 4, 2008 11:20 am Environment, In the NewsBreaking Down Al Gore’s Actual Contribution to the Global Warming Cause

What has Al Gore done for global warming? Not much, according to some scientists.
Gore, known for his environmental-friendly policies and his Oscar-winning documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, was targeted on Monday at a global warming conference hosted by skeptic scientists on Monday in New York.
Gore’s work to stop global warming has garnered him worldwide media attention and a Nobel Prize. However, conference speakers reflected on how Gore has hyped up global warming into a “planetary emergency.” Timothy Bell, a former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg, called it, “extremely effective propaganda.”
A Climate of Fear: The Film by Al Gore
Instead of Gore’s film, the group watched A Climate of Fear, made by TV commentator Glenn Beck. The film challenges the commonly held scientific belief that greenhouse gases and carbon dioxide emissions are chief factors in the cause of global warming. Instead, Beck stated people who do not agree with Gore’s view on climate change are labeled “heretics.”
Despite what skeptics have to say, the view that greenhouses gases are playing a part in global warming have been supported by the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, the American Geophysical Union, the American Associated for the Advancement of Science, the American Meteorological Society and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
Global Warming Is Real
This last group has published reports concluding that most global warming has been caused by humans since 1950 and that the sea water level and temperatures will continue to rise around the world if greenhouse gas emissions are not reduced.
However, other groups and scientists still disagree. “Any attempt to influence global temperatures by reducing [carbon dioxide] emissions would be both futile and expensive,” stated Fred Singer from the Science and Environmental Policy Project.
The conference was sponsored by the Heartland Institute, a non-profit libertarian organization based in Chicago that focuses on the environment and economic issues.

I recently had a discussion about global warming with someone that described himself as a near-Marxist. After a lot of frustrating exchanges my eyes were opened to the fact there is a sinister motive for promoting man-made global warming. There are a significant number of individuals that want to establish an idealistic world order that will furnish us with all our needs, a “Big Brother”. The biggest obstacle in their way is the success of the capitalist free market. Man-made global warming is a tool to convince the easily convincible that the capitalist free market system is evil. That is the same reason these individuals attack other successful icons of the capitalist free market like “Big Oil”, “Big Pharmaceutical”, “Wal-Mart”, “The Rich”, etc., etc., etc. Ultimately the UN would like to be “Big Brother”, Al Gore its king and the New York Times the head of propaganda.
Global warming is not just about science!
