Last Thursday, in honor of World Water Day on March 22, Stephen Colbert vowed not to drink a drop on The Colbert Report.
Started in 1992 out of a United Nations conference, World Water Day promotes water conservation internationally. This year, the theme is “sanitation,” bringing awareness to such issues as hygiene promotion, water quality, wastewater treatment, sewage systems and sanitary facilities.
The show focused on water conservation while Colbert discussed the problem of America’s “addiction to water.” “My name is America,” he stated, “and I am addicted to water.”
Purifying Everything: Interview With Dean Kamen
Colbert interviewed Dean Kamen, the inventor of a vapor compression distiller that — unbelievably — can turn pretty much any kind of liquid into distilled water. Check out what Stephen does with a bag of Doritos.
