Renewable LA: The First Annual Solar Open House & Green Holiday Gift Fest
December 8th, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Renewable L.A.: Solar Open House & Green Gift Fest
A true gala event in the heart of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, Renewable L.A. features several eco-friendly and environmentally conscious activities, with stuff to interest the whole family. You will be able to view one of the largest solar power installations (600 panels generating 100 kilowatts of renewable electricity) at the Valley location’s solar-paneled rooftop.

More to Do at Renewable L.A.: Green Seminars

Guests will also have a chance to sit down and listen to a variety of speakers whose areas of expertise range from “Tips for Greening Your Home” to “Solar Home Financing.” Talks last all day, with more topics including electric cars and California environmental laws.

The event also features exhibits of “some of the most advanced clean vehicles on the road,” according to organizers. From the fully-electric ZENN to the Volkswagen Jetta Wagon that runs on 100% biodiesel, auto- and environmental enthusiasts will have plenty to see. Given the Christmas holiday season squarely upon us, guests will also be able to choose from among a wide array of eco-friendly holiday gifts offered by green vendors. Or, make a donation in the name of a dear one to an environmental organization, and “purchase” holiday gifts that way. Kids can practice solar print-making to spend the time engaging with the environment.

The Event is sponsored by DC Power Systems, Evergreen Solar, EV World, with additional sponsorship coming from Energy Efficiency Solar, AHD and Sweetwater Digital Productions.

The Event is located at: American Hi Definition / Sweetwater Digital, 7635 Airport Buiness Park Way, Van Nuys, CA 91406.
